When to take it
Switchback Citrus is stick one in every pack, taken on the first long climb. On longer days it comes back in the middle stages, taking turns with Ridge Salt, one stick for every 6 trail miles.
300 mg of sodium and 200 mg of potassium, with 1.7 mg of B6 and 2.4 mcg of B12. Less salt than Ridge Salt, because the first climb usually comes in the cooler part of the day. Lemon and orange, light enough to sip on the way up.
If the whole hike is a short, cool walk, a bottle of water covers it and this stick can stay home.
